Job summary

WSP in the U.S. is seeking an IT M&A Specialist for workforce integration and capacity planning within the Global IT Office of IT M&A.

You will own the people dimension of IT integration across active deals, building workforce baselines, mapping roles, and quantifying synergies with HR and IT leadership. You will coordinate cross‑functionally to ensure proper staffing, budgeting, and knowledge transfer during deal close through integration completion, while maintaining confidential data

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 5–8 years in workforce planning, HR business partnering, organizational change, or M&A integration with substantial people-workstream exposure.
  • Discretion handling confidential headcount and compensation data.
  • Experience quantifying and tracking workforce cost.
  • Workforce or delivery capacity planning experience across organizations.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functionally without line authority.
  • Strong written communication; concise reporting for senior leadership.
  • Advanced Excel and data-handling skills.
  • Post-secondary degree in HR, business, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the IT workforce dataset per deal, with sources and a refresh cadence.
  • Segment workforce by placement, map to IT function taxonomy, validate with leads.
  • Reconcile baseline to HR records and explain movements (joiners/leavers/transfers).
  • Maintain the baseline as the single source for people-cost handover and budget inputs.
  • Translate workforce data into capacity views for active deals.
  • Own intake protocol for acquired-entity capacity requests and validation.
  • Model role transitions into WSP function organizations and timing.
  • Apply cost-type attribution to capacity lines for budget reporting.
  • Identify constraints, backfill needs, and talent dependencies.
  • Coordinate capacity with integration waves and transition periods.
