Job summary

Luther Seminary is seeking a Liaison for Computing to strengthen IT support and enhance the educational experience for students. This role acts as the primary IT contact for designated departments at Luther Seminary and Augsburg University, building relationships and ensuring timely, high-quality service.

The position emphasizes ABIDE values, collaboration across IT teams, and ongoing improvements in IT literacy. It includes supervision of student workers and periodic evening/weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and two years of experience, or a combination of education and/or experience equal to four years.
• At least one (1) year of relevant experience in an IT user support field.
• Advanced support-level skills for Mac and PC hardware and software.
• Familiarity with business applications for designated administrative areas.
• Familiarity with telecommunications equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive, professional relationships with administrative and academic personnel.
• Provide consultative just-in-time IT support and first level troubleshooting.
• Maintain awareness of IT resources and refine documentation and training materials.
• Identify support trends and consult AIS/SysNet teams for issue resolution.
• Advocate for resource acquisitions and engage in ABIDE-focused practices.
• Supervise student workers and assist in IT department meetings.
