Job summary

METECS is seeking an experienced IT leadership professional to manage the information technology department and infrastructure for our growing organization. You will provide hands-on technical support as part of the IT team while developing strategies to support diverse IT needs and interfacing with senior leadership.

You will lead projects, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with security standards across on‑premise and cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, Windows, and M365.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years hands‑on IT leadership and project management.
• Experience working within and configuring Amazon Web Services, Azure Cloud, Windows, and Microsoft 365 resources.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking and cybersecurity best practices
• Strong management, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT team members to provide maintenance and operation of the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, computing hardware, cloud deployments and enterprise software.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage the IT department projects, budget, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate with company leadership regarding status and future plans for IT department.
• Collaborate with other department managers and project managers to assess and support IT needs.
• Ensure the IT team provides timely resolution of user issues and requests.
• Support IT operational and compliance needs of both commercial and government projects.
• Oversee implementation and maintenance of security controls across infrastructure, cloud environments, and end‑user devices.
• Work with the Information Security Manager to identify risks and vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with ISO 27001 policies and procedures.
