MIRATECH Corporation in Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking an IT Intern to support day-to-day technology operations and gain hands-on experience in an enterprise IT environment. Under guidance of the IT team, you will assist with end-user support, Windows 11 deployment, asset management, documentation, and small projects while following security practices.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Prior professional IT experience is not required; relevant coursework, labs, projects, or customer service experience is acceptable.
  • Foundational knowledge of Windows, computer hardware, networking concepts, and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Ability to gather information, follow documented procedures, test solutions, and elevate issues appropriately.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication with technical and nontechnical users.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle company information responsibly and work only within assigned access and supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level assistance for common hardware, software, account, printing, and connectivity issues, escalating when appropriate.
  • Prepare, configure, deploy, and recover Windows 11 computers and peripherals using established IT procedures.
  • Maintain accurate hardware and software inventory records, including asset tags, assignments, warranty details, and lifecycle status.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities such as equipment preparation, access checklists, and device return processing.
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 and other approved business applications under supervision and within assigned permissions.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and standard operating procedures in the service management and knowledge systems.
  • Participate in approved IT projects, testing, audits, and process-improvement initiatives.
  • Protect confidential information and follow cybersecurity, acceptable-use, safety, and change-management requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Reports to: IT Manager

Cooperates with: Information Technology, Human Resources, business departments, and managed service partners

Location: On-site in Tulsa, Oklahoma

Primary Responsibility: The IT Intern supports day-to-day technology operations while gaining practical experience in an enterprise IT environment. What You'll Do:

How to Qualify:

What Sets You Apart:
  • Hands-on experience supporting Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Intune, or a ticketing platform.
  • Familiarity with PowerShell, device imaging or provisioning, basic network troubleshooting, or IT asset management.
  • Relevant coursework, certification study, personal lab experience, or participation in a technical student organization.
  • A customer-focused mindset, curiosity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from feedback.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer internship period.
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
