Sabre Systems, LLC is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable IT Intern to support the company's Information Technology Department. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment supporting the technology needs of a defense contractor.
The IT Intern will work alongside experienced IT professionals and assist with day-to-day IT operations, end-user support, equipment management, documentation, and technology projects. This position is designed to provide practical experience while developing the technical, communication, and problem-solving skills needed for a career in information technology.
- Assist IT staff with day-to-day IT operations and support activities.
- Provide basic technical assistance to employees experiencing hardware, software, or connectivity issues.
- Help configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, peripherals, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
- Assist with user account and access-management activities under the direction of IT personnel.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding activities, including equipment preparation, deployment, recovery, and inventory updates.
- Maintain accurate IT asset and equipment records.
- Assist with software installations, updates, patches, and routine workstation maintenance.
- Support troubleshooting of Windows workstations, printers, applications, and basic network connectivity.
- Document troubleshooting activities, procedures, equipment information, and IT processes.
- Assist with maintaining IT documentation, knowledge-base articles, and standard operating procedures.
- Support IT projects, technology deployments, and process-improvement initiatives.
- Follow company IT policies, cybersecurity practices, and applicable security procedures.
- Handle company information responsibly and maintain appropriate confidentiality.
- Escalate technical issues to appropriate IT personnel when necessary.
- Perform other IT-related duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited degree, certificate, or technical program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, networking, and common business applications.
- Strong interest in pursuing a career in information technology.
