Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting seeks an IT Internal Audit Manager to lead IT audits, strengthen risk governance, and partner with IT and business leaders in Phoenix. You will evaluate ITGCs and application controls, support SOX, and mentor audit staff while delivering clear findings to senior management.

The role emphasizes COBIT/COSO/NIST frameworks, AuditBoard usage, and strong communication. In-office, US citizen or green card required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
CIA or CISA certification required; CPA or CISSP preferred.
5+ years IT audit or risk/compliance experience including people management.
Familiarity with IT controls, ITGC, application controls, and risk frameworks.
Experience with SOX control testing and communicating findings.

Responsibilities

Plan, lead, and execute IT audits (ITGC, application controls, operational audits).
Develop and maintain the annual risk-based IT audit plan with leadership.
Lead SOX IT control testing, scoping, walkthroughs, testing, remediation tracking.
Apply COBIT, COSO, NIST, ISO 27001 to assess controls and risk.
Manage AuditBoard platform to document workpapers, findings, and controls.
Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff throughout the lifecycle.
Communicate findings and risks to senior management and external auditors.
Build relationships with IT leadership, business units, and external partners.
Track audit issues and management action plans for timely remediation.
Stay current on tech risks, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
