Job summary

MDS Staffing seeks an IT Internal Audit Manager to plan, execute, and report on IT audits across an enterprise environment in Phoenix. You will evaluate ITGCs and application controls, support SOX compliance, and partner with IT and business leaders to strengthen governance.

The role requires 5+ years in IT audit or risk/compliance, CIA or CISA certification, and strong leadership. In-office role with an expected salary in the 125k–135k range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, accounting or related field.
• CIA or CISA certification required; CPA or CISSP preferred.
• In-depth experience with AuditBoard.
• 5+ years IT audit or risk/compliance with people management or team leadership.
• Familiarity with IT controls, audit methodologies, and risk management frameworks.
• Experience with SOX control testing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and execute IT audits including ITGC, application controls, and operational audits.
• Develop and maintain annual risk-based IT audit plan with Internal Audit leadership.
• Lead SOX IT control testing including scoping, walkthroughs, testing, and remediation tracking.
• Apply COBIT, COSO, NIST, and ISO 27001 to assess control environments and risks.
• Manage and develop the AuditBoard platform to document workpapers, findings, and controls.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and external auditors.
• Build relationships with IT leadership, business units, and external audit partners.
• Track audit issues and management action plans to ensure timely remediation.
• Stay current on technology risks and regulatory changes.
