Job summary

RENK America is seeking an IT support intern to assist with PC client imaging, deployment, and day-to-day service desk tasks. The role emphasizes asset management, patching, and documentation to support end-user IT operations at our Muskegon, MI location.

Ideal candidates are currently pursuing an IT/CS degree (junior or senior) with basic Windows knowledge and a willingness to learn. This is a Full-Time/Part-Time Seasonal position; US-based applicants preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Junior or Senior status.
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with installing software, troubleshooting simple issues, or imaging tools.
• Comfortable working with customers, asking questions, and documenting work.
• Ability to follow procedures, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks.
• Willingness to learn new tools, systems, and IT processes.

Responsibilities

• Imaging, configuration, and deployment of laptops and desktops; refresh cycles per company standards.
• Respond to and resolve service desk tickets covering hardware, software, and basic networking; document work in ticketing system.
• Maintain accurate IT hardware/software inventory; track assignments and updates; assist with procurement as needed.
• Execute client patching and software updates following schedules and compliance requirements.
