Job summary

PROCON is seeking an IT Intern to join its Information Technology team in New Hampshire. This role is designed for individuals beginning their IT careers who want hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced professional environment.

You will assist with help desk tickets, hardware and software support, and basic IT projects across the organization, while developing troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent technical training).
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems (preferred).
• Exposure to basic troubleshooting or networking concepts (preferred).
• Progress toward or interest in IT certifications (preferred).
• Previous customer service experience (preferred).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in responding to help desk tickets and basic technical support requests.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues under supervision.
• Provide support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Set up and configure new user workstations and equipment.
• Deliver friendly, professional customer service to employees across departments.
• Assist with installation and configuration of computers and peripheral devices.
• Support software installations, updates, and routine system checks.
• Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
• Participate in hardware refreshes, system upgrades, and technology rollouts.
• Assist with documentation of IT processes and troubleshooting steps.
• Follow company IT security policies and assist with patching and antivirus monitoring.
• Escalate complex or unfamiliar issues appropriately.
• Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new technologies and apply feedback.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in all tasks
