Job summary

Vermeer Midwest in Chesterfield, MO is seeking an IT Intern to gain hands-on experience supporting our business technology and employees across the organization. This part-time role exposes you to a range of IT systems, tools, and projects while you study.

You will help with hardware and software support, setup and imaging, Microsoft 365 administration, user accounts, cybersecurity awareness, and documentation. A strong communication mindset and eagerness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, BIS, or related field.
• Strong interest in technology and problem solving.
• Familiarity with Windows and Office.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work independently and with others.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, or Power Platform is a plus.
• Previous customer service or internship experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware, software, and system issues.
• Assist with computer setup, deployment, imaging, and inventory management.
• Support Microsoft 365 technologies including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Help manage user accounts, permissions, and device configurations.
• Participate in cybersecurity initiatives, device security, and user awareness.
• Assist with business applications such as VitalEdge IntelliDealer, Salesforce, and other systems.
• Create technical documentation, training materials, and knowledge base articles.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and related hardware.
• Support IT projects involving automation, reporting, process improvement, and emerging technologies.
• Assist with technology deployments and upgrades across company locations.

What You’ll Do

As an IT Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting business technology and helping employees across the organization. This role offers exposure to a wide range of IT systems, tools, and projects, including:

• Providing technical support for hardware, software, and system-related issues

What You Bring

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information
