Job summary

CEI is recruiting an IT Support Specialist in Columbia, SC on a hybrid, 6-month W2 contract. The role focuses on maintaining workstation/server standards, deploying software, and monitoring systems while providing 24x7 support cohesion.

Responsibilities include deploying infra software, scripting, backups, and ensuring license/compliance. Strong Windows, AD, and PowerShell/Python skills are required; A+ certification is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• A+ Certification is highly preferred.
• Strong Windows OS, Active Directory, and Group Policy experience.
• PowerShell and/or Python scripting skills.
• Experience with Intune, MDM, and Entra ID.
• BigFix and/or SCCM/ECM experience.
• Excellent documentation and technical writing.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-platform environments with 24x7 support.

Responsibilities

• Administer and deploy infrastructure software to clients including new builds, upgrades, patches, and changes; coordinate requests and follow processes like email notifications and alerts.
• Install, configure, and maintain infrastructure software to support business needs; develop, test, and maintain scripts and utilities; plan backups and data/archive operations.
• Monitor workstation/server environments; troubleshoot proactively and provide higher-level support as needed; consult with senior peers on projects.
• Develop and maintain custom integration solutions; establish standard configurations for software packages; manage admin tools for software delivery and remote management.
• Ensure software licensing and maintenance agreement continuity; conduct routine hardware/software audits for compliance.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and inventories; manage growth statistics and storage/backup resources.
