Job summary

Software Placement Group in Lancaster, SC seeks an IT Infrastructure Manager to oversee enterprise server and networking, ensuring security, reliability, and scalable technology. You will research and implement new technologies to support ongoing business needs.

You will manage Windows AD, O365, backups, virtualization, and network infrastructure while collaborating with senior admins, helpdesk, and end users to drive improvements and DR readiness.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on Cisco routing, switching, wireless, IP, LAN/WAN administration.
• Experience with Microsoft Server OS, Active Directory, O365/Exchange, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, RAID hardware.
• Experience with Windows 10/11 for testing server/network changes.
• Monitor and tune server/network systems for performance.
• VMware 8 or other virtualization systems for VMs.
• Enterprise antivirus, endpoint security, or next-gen security software.
• On-premises IP telephony systems experience.
• Major/minor server and network hardware upgrades.
• IT operations best practices: security, storage, data protection, and DR.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, work under supervision, multi-task.
• Reliable with strong organizational skills.
• Lift/move IT equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Capable of sitting for long periods at a computer.
• Work in GMP areas and travel within building to resolve issues.
• Cost analysis and control for systems in use/under consideration.
• Experience deploying new systems from concept to production.
• Associate degree in CS or BS preferred; 3–5 years of sys/net admin experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain systems and networking support for software, hardware, servers, and networking, including testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues.
• Apply security protocols to protect server and networking systems.
• Perform systems administration for Windows AD, O365, updates, patches, antivirus, cloud/on-premises systems, and backups.
• Perform network administration for Cisco switches/routers/wireless APs and firewalls.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for DR and environment configurations.
• Collaborate with senior staff on system changes and projects.
• Maintain and operate virtual servers and virtualization environments.
• Install/upgrade server and networking components, integrating automation.
• Troubleshoot server/network hardware/software issues with diagnostics and resolutions.
• Provide documentation/specs to IT staff for infrastructure upgrades.
• Assess capacity, storage, and database performance of servers/networks.
• Communicate project updates and issues escalated from helpdesk.
• Improve IT synergies through systems integration.
• Enhance compatibility between server/network systems.
• Audit local and cloud access privileges.
• Automate repetitive admin tasks.
• Assist in implementing authentication and SSO across environments.
• Maintain attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
• Communicate across departments and teams.
