Job summary

Fayetteville Technical Community College is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to lead the design, implementation, operation, and ongoing support of the college’s network and infrastructure across multiple campuses. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical work to ensure secure, high‑performing systems.

The position oversees day-to-day operations, staff, and incident response, with some after-hours work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Networking, Infrastructure Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of progressive experience in network or infrastructure administration.
• Experience with enterprise LAN/WAN, wireless, telecommunications, and multi-site environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and mentor ITS infrastructure staff for task prioritization and performance management.
• Manage ITS infrastructure and network operations across campuses, including incident response and service restoration.
• Ensure secure, reliable infrastructure services meeting institutional needs and policy requirements.
• Coordinate with external partners and internal stakeholders on infrastructure initiatives and vendor engagement.
• Oversee preventive maintenance and lifecycle planning for infrastructure.
