Job summary

The Denver Public Library, part of the City and County of Denver, seeks an IT Manager to lead Infrastructure, drive stability, security, and growth of core technology across 28 locations. You will own design, maintenance, standards, and strategy, while mentoring teams and coordinating vendor negotiations and budgets.

This role blends hands-on technical leadership with people management, disaster recovery planning, and roadmap development in a hybrid work environment, based at the Central Library

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
• Three (3) years of professional level IT work at the senior or full-performance level.
• Substitutions: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and design essential systems including servers, virtualization, networking, cybersecurity, endpoint management, and IAM.
• Act as escalation point for technical issues and set design standards across 28 library locations.
• Lead and empower high-performing teams; create roadmaps and set priorities.
• Represent the division in vendor negotiations and contribute to budgeting and contract management.
• Ensure reliable service for staff and community through strategic IT planning.
