Job summary

EPMA seeks an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to lead a hands-on team in Houston. You will oversee Windows Server, VMware, AD/Entra ID, and Microsoft 365, ensuring reliability, security and modernization across locations.

This hybrid, three-day onsite role requires strong incident leadership, strategic planning and clear coordination with IT leadership, stakeholders, and vendors to drive projects and infrastructure improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience.
• 3+ years leading infrastructure teams.
• Hands-on with Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory/Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
• Enterprise networking knowledge: routing, switching, VLANs, IP design, firewall tech.
• Experience with virtualization, storage, backup and DR.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infra issues and lead during incidents.
• Experience delivering infrastructure projects and modernization initiatives.
• Strong people management and stakeholder communication skills.
• Balance of strategic planning with hands-on technical involvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Infrastructure Administrators and specialists.
• Oversee day-to-day infrastructure operations for availability, performance and security.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across Windows Server, VMware, AD/Entra ID and Microsoft 365.
• Design, configure and optimize enterprise networks including routing, switching, VLANs, IP design and firewalls.
• Manage virtualization, storage, backup, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Lead upgrades, migrations and lifecycle management of infrastructure.
• Establish infrastructure standards, documentation and best practices.
• Serve as senior escalation point for complex incidents and technical challenges.
• Collaborate with IT leadership, stakeholders and vendors on projects and investments.
• Support planning, budgeting and vendor relationships.
