Job summary

Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) is seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator to maintain, optimize, and secure the organization’s IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include managing servers, networks, storage, and virtualization, while ensuring system reliability and security.

The role requires 4+ years of infrastructure experience, a Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS or equivalent, and proficiency with Windows/Linux servers, Hyper-V, Azure, and security best practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of IT infrastructure experience
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or equivalent
• Experience configuring Windows and Linux servers, networking gear, and virtualization (Hyper-V preferred)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and hybrid infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of security best practices in an infrastructure context
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, virtualization)
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot to ensure availability of critical systems
• Collaborate with security team to implement robust security measures
• Establish and maintain data backup and disaster recovery procedures
• Analyze system capacity and performance trends for upgrades
• Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation
• Work with IT support, development and operations teams for alignment of initiatives
