Job summary

Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) is seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator to maintain and secure our IT backbone, including servers, storage, networks, and virtualization. You will monitor systems, apply security controls, plan capacity, and document configurations while collaborating with IT support and operations.

Requirements include 4+ years in infrastructure roles, a bachelor’s degree, proficiency with Windows and Linux servers, Azure, and security best practices.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Infrastructure Administrator or similar experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT/related field.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux servers, networking gear, and virtualization (Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with Azure and hybrid infrastructures.
• Strong security knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Certs such as Network+, Security+, Azure Administrator are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot to ensure availability of critical systems.
• Collaborate with security to implement robust measures and access controls.
• Establish and maintain data backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Plan capacity and recommend upgrades as needed.
• Document infrastructure configurations and procedures.
• Coordinate with IT support, development, and operations.
