Job summary

OWASA is seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator to manage and secure our critical IT infrastructure. The role involves designing and maintaining servers, networks, storage, and virtualization, plus monitoring performance and implementing disaster recovery plans.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in infrastructure roles, a relevant bachelor’s degree, experience with Windows/Linux, Hyper-V, and Azure, and strong security and collaboration skills. On-site opportunity in Carrboro, NC.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as an Infrastructure Administrator or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux servers, networking gear, and virtualization (Hyper-V preferred).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and hybrid infrastructures.
• Strong security practices and implementing security measures in infrastructure contexts.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure across servers, networks, storage, and virtualization.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure availability of critical systems.
• Collaborate with security teams to enforce robust security controls.
• Establish and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Analyze capacity trends and plan upgrades as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of configurations and procedures.
• Work with IT support, development, and operations teams to align infrastructure initiatives.
