Job summary

Pelham Berkeley Search seeks an IT Infrastructure Architect to lead planning, governance, and modernization of a mid-sized financial institution's NY data center and co-location facilities.

This hands-on leadership role combines architecture oversight with managing a small engineering team, focusing on enterprise standards, security, and regulatory compliance in a hybrid on-site setting in Midtown Manhattan.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive IT infrastructure leadership in financial/regulated environments.
• Experience managing both on-premises and cloud infrastructure and capacity planning.
• Deep knowledge of Windows Server, VMware/Nutanix, storage and backup platforms.
• Strong cloud governance with AWS and Azure, IaC concepts, and zero trust.
• Proven ability to manage local data centers and co-location facilities.
• Excellent communication with executives, auditors, regulators, and teams.
• Experience with banking compliance standards and regulatory audits.
• Leadership in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Extensive experience working in a banking or highly regulated financial environment
• Proven leadership in managing complex infrastructure projects and external partnerships
