Job summary

RFCUNY is seeking an entry-level Helpdesk Support Technician to provide frontline desktop and software support to employees, ensuring reliable access to systems, applications, hardware, and networks. You will work under the Manager of Systems/Network in a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate has at least an associate degree and two years IT support experience, strong Windows and Office skills, and proven problem-solving and customer service abilities; remote ticketing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher with minimum two years in a technical support or help desk role.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline technical support for desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve end-user technical issues; escalate when appropriate.
• Set up, configure, operate, and support audiovisual and video-conferencing equipment.
• Coordinate with external vendors for repairs, service calls, and quotes.
• Maintain accurate help desk, equipment, and technical support records; prepare reports.
• Assist with equipment setup, deployment, inventory, and basic maintenance.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
