Job summary

Horizon Retail Construction in Sturtevant, WI seeks an IT Helpdesk Technician- L1 to join our corporate headquarters. You will support end users, manage tickets, deploy equipment, and assist IT projects in a collaborative team environment.

You will work with Windows and Microsoft 365 products, provide triage for hardware and software issues, and contribute to training and documentation efforts. This role emphasizes teamwork and customer service in a dynamic construction industry setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Information Technology or actively pursuing degree
• Experience with Windows and Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Microsoft 365 products (SharePoint, Teams, Teams Voice, OneDrive)
• Ability to work in a team environment to meet deadlines
• Experience with Apple devices such as iPhones and iPads
• Previous customer service experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain help desk tickets
• Set-up and deploy equipment to new office and field employees
• Provide support and triage incoming phone, voicemail, tickets, and in-person requests
• Install upgrades, repairs, movement and replacement of desktops, laptops, and peripherals
• Identify hardware and software issues and malfunctions
• Provide training to end users and create training manuals
• Perform physical inventory and minor hardware repair
• Assist with IT projects and business initiatives
• Interview users to collect information and guide through diagnostics
• Handle problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up
• Basic server access to create/modify/terminate user accounts

About Horizon Retail Construction:

Horizon Retail Construction is a nationally recognized general contractor specializing in tenant improvement. We are currently seeking an IT Helpdesk Technician- L1 to join the team at our corporate headquarters in Sturtevant, Wisconsin, we take pride in delivering quality projects, building strong relationships, and fostering a collaborative team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintaining help desk tickets
• Set-up and deploy equipment to new office and field employees
• Provides support and triage incoming phone, voicemail, tickets, and in-person requests for assistance from users experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies
• Installing upgrades, repairs, movement and replacement of desktops, laptops, and peripherals
• Identify hardware and software technical issues and malfunctions
• Provide training to end users as well as create and maintain training manuals
• Perform physical inventory, minor hardware repair, equipment delivery, and testing
• Assist with IT projects and business initiatives
• Interview users to collect information about problems and lead user through diagnostic procedures to determine source of errors
• Handle problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for user problems, referring more complex problems to Systems Engineer
• Basic server access to create/modify/terminate user accounts, phone management, etc.

Summary of Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Associates Degree in Information Technology or a related field is OR Actively Pursuing Degree in Information Technology
• Experience with Windows and Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Microsoft 365 products (SharePoint, Teams, Teams Voice, OneDrive)
• Ability to work in a team environment to meet critical deadlines
• Experience with Apple devices such as iPhones and iPads
• Previous customer service experience

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Ticket and Asset Management software (e.g., Lansweeper)
• Someone who has good written, oral, listening skills and customer service
• Power Automate Experience
