Job summary

Houston Ballet is seeking an attentive Help Desk Specialist I to provide exceptional staff support and basic IT troubleshooting across phone, email, remote, and on-site channels. You will manage devices, software, and network connectivity while documenting actions and contributing to SLA compliance.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years IT experience, familiarity with Windows 11, Office 365, and AD administration, plus a collaborative, customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows 11, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft 365; basic AI and VOIP familiarity.
• Basic understanding of desktop network connectivity (wired/wireless).
• Experience with AD administration and imaging/loading OS on new devices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to Help Desk tickets within SLA.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, printers, and phones.
• Document work, manage inventory, and provide weekly status reports.
