Job summary

Old Dominion Electric Cooperative, based in Glen Allen, VA, seeks an IT Help Desk/Support role to assist employees and contractors with hardware, software, accounts, and connectivity. The position covers Windows, mobile devices, printers, and office apps with escalation to OT/SCADA teams as needed.

Candidates should have 1 year of Windows, device, and help-desk experience, with a strong focus on security, ticketing, and user support.

Qualifications

1 year diagnosing Windows systems, mobile devices, printers, and PC hardware.
1 year help desk or intern experience.
1 year service desk support experience.
1 year system implementation experience.
Imaging/deployment experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as first contact for hardware, software, accounts, and connectivity via phone, ticket, chat, email, and walk-up.
Log, classify, prioritize, and resolve incidents in the IT ticket system following SLA.
Reset passwords, unlock accounts, and process access requests under least- privilege rules.
Troubleshoot Windows workstations, laptops, printers, desk phones, mobile devices, VPN, MFA, and MS 365.
Image, deploy, and inventory PCs and peripherals; assist with new-hire setups.
Support field/operations: rugged laptops, iOS/Android devices, MDM, connectivity.
