John H. Carter Co., Inc. is seeking an IT Support Technician to join our team in Baton Rouge, LA.

The role involves maintaining internal and external communications for accuracy and timeliness, performing installations, patches, upgrades, and troubleshooting both remotely and on-site. Required are a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field, and at least 2+ years of IT Support experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in detail and precise operational IT functions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware, DNS, DHCP, AD, IIS, MS Exchange, TCP/IP, Sharepoint
• 2+ years experience as an IT Support Technician

Responsibilities

• Ensure internal and external communications are accurate and timely.
• Schedule and perform installations, patches, upgrades.
• Perform on-site and remote client/server maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Provide Windows application support and troubleshooting.
• Support users with installing and maintaining MS Office applications.
• Participate in on-call troubleshooting remotely and on-site as required.
• Work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with development and support staff to maintain knowledge of product capabilities and communications.
• Perform basic TCP/IP troubleshooting, system installation/integration, and other tasks per SOPs.
