D.R. Horton is seeking a Help Desk Specialist I to provide hands-on IT support for end users, hardware, software, and related IT issues. The role involves phone, web chat, and in-person assistance within a large housing construction environment.

The candidate should have 2–4 years of IT support experience, basic Windows/AD/Exchange knowledge, and strong communication skills. Travel and on-call weekend duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of IT support experience.
• Must have basic knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory, Exchange, Print Services, and MS Office.
• Experience replacing basic components of various systems and printers.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to adapt to a changing environment and communicate clearly.
• Proficient in MS Office and email.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone, webchat, and in-person support to end users and external vendors on IT issues.
• Research and resolve basic network, hardware, and software issues.
• Document and track issues using the help desk system.
• Communicate with users and ensure timely resolution.
• Perform end user computer refreshes and basic maintenance.
• Process work orders with detailed troubleshooting steps.
• Assist with division office moves.
