Job summary

Rockford Construction Co. is seeking an IT Help Desk Intern to support onboarding and offboarding, deploy laptops and devices, and provision user accounts across SaaS apps.

You will help maintain hardware inventory and document workflows for improvements. As time permits, you will assist the Help Desk team with end-user tickets under the IT Operations Manager, gaining hands-on experience in IT support within a construction environment.

Qualifications

• Junior or senior pursuing an Information Technology degree.
• Knowledge of computers; troubleshooting and repair preferred.
• Able to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Strong desire to learn and professional drive.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.

Rockford's internship program gives students hands on experience while introducing them to different building types and project delivery methods. Interns work on real jobs across the many markets we serve. Students also receive valuable training, are assigned daily responsibilities and have opportunities to connect through volunteering and company-wide networking. In addition to construction management, we also offer internships in other areas such as Design, Information Technology, Accounting, Marketing, and more.

As an IT Help Desk Intern, you will play a key role in supporting teammemberonboarding and offboarding. Your responsibilities include preparing and deploying laptops, iPads, and mobile devices, as well as provisioning user accounts and access across various SaaS applications.You willmaintainaccuratehardware inventory records, ensuring all equipment is properlyinventoriedwhen issued and returned. You will also document existing workflows toidentifyopportunities for improvement and automation.

As timepermits, you willassistthe Help Desk team by responding to and resolving end-user support tickets. This role reports directly to the IT Operations Manager.

• Must be a junior or senior pursuing an Information Technology degree or a similar area of study.

Type of Environment

The work environment for this position is a typical office environment in which physical demands require the ability to sit for long periods of time. Intermittent movement will be necessary to perform requirements of the position such as accessing centrally located office equipment and may be subject to lifting of 35 lbs., bending, stooping, kneeling and climbing.
