Job summary

North Lincoln County Hospital District is seeking a PC Technician / IT Helpdesk to provide frontline technical support for internal staff. You will handle tickets, assist with hardware and software, and deliver end-user training as needed.

The role requires strong customer service, the ability to multitask, and a willingness to participate in on-call rotation. This is an at-will, full-time position within the IT department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience operating, maintaining, upgrading and configuring PC hardware, software and peripherals.
• Applicable IT related certifications and equivalent years of experience are acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Process IT trouble tickets promptly and accurately.
• Serve as first point of contact for technical assistance via phone or email.
• Identify and resolve hardware, software and service-related problems with employees.
• Escalate or resolve employee problems and system-wide issues in a timely manner.
• Train employees on software applications, systems and services.

Summary

While upholding the Star Valley Health mission, vision and values this key position provides primary technical support for internal employees. Provides end-user training and performs other related duties as assigned. This is an “at will” position.

Job Duties

• Process IT trouble tickets in a timely and accurate manner.
• Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email.
• Works with employees to clearly identify and resolve hardware, software, and service related problems.
• Resolves and/or escalates employee problems or system wide problems in a timely manner.
• Trains employees on software applications, systems, and services.
• Setup new employee accounts and provide training
• Maintains systems support, and archiving procedures, performs daily server tape backups.
• Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software.
• Documents and maintains the company’s software and computer hardware inventories.
• Schedules and performs routine maintenance equipment activities, minimizing impact to end-users.
• Assists in research, application and recommendation of new technologies and products.
• Participate in IT on-call schedule
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Abilities & Skills:

• Working knowledge of Internet, email systems, telecommunications and data communications
• Standard operating systems, software packages, and software utilities
• Proper records maintenance and storage for local and distributed environments
• Strong multi-tasking skills with the ease of changing directions upon requirements and need
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Experience & Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience of operating, maintaining, upgrading and configuring PC hardware, software and associated peripheral equipment.
