Job summary

CAKE Mortgage is seeking an IT Generalist to support our fast-paced wholesale mortgage operation. The role covers hardware, software, network issues, and cloud-based systems, with a focus on reliability and security.

You will onboard/offboard staff, provision equipment, manage access control, and maintain servers, databases, and business applications while collaborating with vendors to resolve escalated issues. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach are valued.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on IT support experience in financial services/mortgage preferred.
• Familiarity with Windows OS, Active Directory, Office 365 and cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
• Experience with VoIP systems, VPNs, and remote desktop tools.
• Working knowledge of mortgage industry applications is a plus.
• Understanding of data privacy laws and IT security best practices.
• Strong Microsoft product proficiency (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to staff, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot office equipment and cloud-based systems.
• Assist onboarding/offboarding including hardware provisioning, access control, and account setup.
• Perform routine maintenance and updates on servers, databases, and business applications.
• Monitor system performance and resolve bottlenecks or failures.
• Collaborate with vendors/IT consultants on projects and escalated issues.
• Document IT processes, incident reports, and asset inventory.
