Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School (CRIPCS) is seeking an IT Fundamentals Instructor to support adult learners in Washington, DC. The role combines in-person and virtual teaching, operating with a 10-month schedule and a strong emphasis on data-driven progress, student engagement, and certification readiness.

The instructor will develop course materials, align to CompTIA exam objectives, and collaborate with staff to expand technology opportunities and employer partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
• At least three years of teaching experience in technology.
• Flexible and able to adapt to meet diverse student needs.
• Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides hands-on practice with technology hardware and software.
• Prepares students for industry certification exams (CompTIA Tech+).
• Implements classroom policies and procedures.
• Differentiates instruction for in-person and virtual learning.
• Monitors student progress and attendance using data systems.
• Collaborates with ITF paraeducator and Workforce Program Manager to support students.
• Develops and uses e-portfolio assessments to document progress.
• Conducts student conferences and participates in meetings and development.
