Detailed Job Description

IT Fundamentals is a program that covers the first 3 months of Clarusway IT school and aims to bring especially beginner level students to a level where they can follow the Data Science, AWS/DevOps, Fullstack Development or Cyber Security program by providing them with basic IT knowledge.

For this purpose, Clarusway IT School is looking for an ITF Instructor (Software Developer / IT Specialist) who can teach all the fundamental lectures in the program in English. This Instructor is responsible for the instruction and support of the students. In addition, this position supports key operational functions of the school, including supporting the Team Lead.

An ideal candidate for this role should be someone with a strong technical background and a passion for education and technology. It is essential that a candidate is not only experienced in a professional capacity with basic information technologies, but also able to communicate this knowledge and field experience through leadership and empathy. As an instructor, you will be on the team responsible for guiding each group of students from the early stages of the program to graduation.

All classes consist of the following; Regarding the weekday programs ; 3 days in a week weekday sessions (4 lesson hours), usually 09:00 am - 13:30 pm (CET) for English lessons, and no weekend program.

Responsibilities

• Executing the curriculum of IT Fundamentals program by preparing daily lectures.
• Participating in-class sessions on online via zoom.
• Moderating the classroom and delivering the lectures, facilitate lab work, homework assignments, and student projects.
• Providing written and verbal feedback on student projects, assignments.
• Providing a report of student progress on weekly stand-up meetings.
• Continuing to improve our curriculum by giving feedback and working with our curriculum partners to incorporate updates into our program as needed.
• Responding to student inquiries and requests for assistance as needed through chat/zoom etc.
• Supporting the requests of the Clarusway ITF management team when additional assignments are required as part of extracurricular activities.
• By following new and modern IT technologies closely and adapting them to the curriculum.
• Representing Clarusway IT School by being a good role model and participating in community events.

Minimum Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development and IT specialist experience.
• 3+ years of instructor and/or mentorship experience.
• Must have good knowledge and experience in the following subjects:
• Good knowledge of Network and its components.
• Good use of Git versioning system and GitHub repo systems.
• Good use of Database Management System and Structured Query Language (Basic SQL).
• Having sufficient knowledge of the Linux operating system and especially the use of the CLI (Basic Linux).
• Have sufficient knowledge of HTML/CSS basic coding (Basic HTML/CSS).
• High communication skills.
• Inquisitive and open to change.
• Able to comply with the time discipline.
• Ability to work together and be a good team player.
• Ability to respond quickly to requests for service or assistance.
• Constantly updating himself or herself and teaching others to learn.
