Job summary

Xterra Solutions, Inc. is seeking an IT Field Technician Level 2 to support day-to-day IT operations and assist clients onsite in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will handle tasks from password resets to complex outage escalations, collaborating with Senior Engineers to deliver reliable IT services.

The role emphasizes growth, problem solving, and exceptional communication, with opportunities to advance into Admin or Engineer roles as you gain experience across diverse client environments.

Qualifications

• 5 years of hands-on experience in a technical environment providing onsite or remote support
• Experience with Active Directory, Exchange/Office 365
• Proficiency with Windows and macOS
• Strong customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide level 2 systems & desktop support
• Work with RMM to identify, prioritize, resolve problems
• Use PSA to manage tickets and communicate with clients
• Respond to incoming requests and provide first call resolution/escalation
• Document incidents, outages, ticket status and resolutions
• Identify issues, prioritize, and respond to tickets to meet SLA
• Provide proactive monitoring and maintenance on client networks
• Stay current with technologies used in client environments
• Deliver high levels of client satisfaction
• Create high-quality technical documents quickly and accurately
• Provide after-hours and weekend support on a rotational basis
• Participate in projects and follow manager’s directions
