IT Technical Support (Remote)

Position Overview

WhiteWater Express Car Wash is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Remote Technical Support professional to join our growing team. This role supports the operational technology used across our car wash locations, ensuring consistent system performance through remote troubleshooting, as well as occasional on-site assistance for hardware and network-related issues.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Remote Support: Provide timely remote technical assistance to field teams and site managers for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Support includes Point-of-Sale and Tunnel Control Systems (DRB Systems and ICS Washconnect), Windows 10 PCs and peripherals, Camera Systems including NVR and wiring, Magnetic Gate hardware, and low voltage wiring.
  2. Incident Response: Monitor support tickets and respond to IT incidents to minimize operational disruptions.
  3. System Maintenance: Assist in configuring, updating, and maintaining POS systems, network equipment, and other tech assets.
  4. In-Field Support: Travel to locations as needed for diagnostics, hardware installation, or hands-on support when remote resolution isn't possible.
  5. Networking: Support basic IT networking tasks including setup and troubleshooting of routers, switches, and wireless systems.
  6. Collaboration: Work with operations and facilities teams on technology rollouts and upgrades.
  7. Documentation: Accurately document support activities, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
  8. Billing and Inventory: Submit billing reports timely and manage supply/inventory.
  9. Account Activity Tracking: Track and report key account activities for billing accuracy.
  10. Problem Resolution: Handle escalations and problem-solving efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience in IT or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years in technical support, helpdesk, or IT services.
  • Experience with car wash systems or DRB Systems POS is a plus.
  • Tech-savvy with quick learning ability.
  • Strong communication skills for interaction at all management levels.
  • Ability to operate effectively remotely.
  • Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
  • Basic networking knowledge (IP, switches, Wi-Fi).
  • Experience with POS or retail IT hardware preferred.
  • Customer-focused with troubleshooting skills over the phone.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Independent worker with good prioritization skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel within Ohio/Kentucky.
  • Flexible hours, including after-hours support if needed.
