Job summary

City of San Antonio seeks a municipal facilities manager to oversee a busy IT/ facilities operation. You will manage an annual budget, supervise staff, schedule cross-department events, and promote facility use through outreach and partnerships.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in business/public administration and at least two years of relevant experience, plus CJIS background clearances. On-site work at the ARSOC in San Antonio with standard work hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration or related field.
• Two years of experience managing public facilities or promoting public facilities.
• Must pass CJIS fingerprint background check and CJIS eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the annual program budget, including capital expenditures, revenue projections, staffing requirements, and O&M expenditures.
• Supervises maintenance and administrative personnel and participates in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluation of employees.
• Plans and schedules events that require coordination across departments and partners.
• Promotes the availability and utility of the facility through public contacts, media promotion, or direct solicitation of events.
• Prepares purchase requisitions, statements, and invoices and performs other accounting procedures for multi-site facilities.
• Initiates safety and security programs within and for IT Rooms and those working in them.
• Manages short-term contract agreements for IT room service and moves performed.
• Oversees maintenance of facilities and plans improvements.
• Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
