Job summary

The City of San Antonio is seeking an experienced facility manager to oversee a municipal facility, with on-site responsibilities at ARSOC in San Antonio, TX. You will supervise staff, manage the annual budget, and coordinate events across departments, ensuring safety and operational efficiency. Working hours are 7:45 a.m.

– 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, with on-call rotation and mission-driven changes. A Bachelor's degree and a Texas Driver's License are required, with preference for IT facility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Public Administration or a related field.
• Two (2) years of experience in managing public facilities, organizing large-scale indoor events, or promoting any type of public facility.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the annual program budget, including capital expenditures, revenue projections, staffing requirements, and O&M expenditures.
• Supervises maintenance and administrative personnel and participates in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating employees.
• Plans and schedules events requiring coordination across departments and partners.
• Promotes the facility's availability and utility through public contacts, media promotion, or direct solicitation of events.
• Prepares purchase requisitions, statements, and invoices and performs other accounting procedures for multi-site facilities.
• Initiates safety and security programs within IT rooms and those working in them.
• Manages short-term contract agreements for IT room service and moves performed.
• Oversees maintenance of facilities and plans improvements.
• Performs related duties as required.
