Job summary

The University of Texas at San Antonio is seeking a senior facilities leader to provide day-to-day and strategic direction for facilities services, including operations, maintenance, utilities, housekeeping and landscape. You will manage staff and the operating budget and lead renewal programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Ten years of experience with at least five in a management role.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License; ability to maintain security and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities services operations including maintenance, utilities, housekeeping and landscape.
• Monitor workload, service backlog, and scheduling to align with goals.
• Oversee building renewal program, condition assessments, and funding strategies.
• Develop, implement and execute preventive maintenance program.
• Plan long-range staffing and budget; manage annual operating budgets.
• Engage with customers and campus community; align services to needs.
• Lead training of skilled and support personnel and ensure a safe environment.
• Ensure sustainability through energy and water conservation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
