Technical Infrastructure:

  • Oversee and manage all IT systems including servers, networks, mobile devices, and cloud platforms
  • Act as security administrator for workstations, software, and data systems, in collaboration with our managed services provider (MSP)
  • Lead IT projects, from upgrades and rollouts to vendor transitions and cybersecurity improvements
  • Administer confidential data systems, including HR-related platforms

Training and Support:

  • Provide hands-on technical support to staff and members
  • Design and deliver training that will empower users to confidently use key tools
  • Translate complex technical information for non-technical audiences

Vendor and Budget Management:

  • Manage relationships with IT contractors, developers, and the MSP
  • Oversee RFP processes for vendors and consultants
  • Manage the IT budget

Organizational Participation:

  • Participate in key union-wide programs including political campaigns, actions, and member outreach (e.g., canvassing, phone banking)

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to continuous learning
  • Experience with Windows 10/11 and macOS
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, OneNote)
  • Active Directory administration experience
  • Experience developing and delivering user training
  • Experience in managing vendors or external IT contractors
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft certifications such as:
    • Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
    • Teams Administrator Associate
    • Relevant Azure certifications
  • Experience managing an MSP or similar vendor relationship
  • Experience implementing or supporting data security protocols
  • Familiarity with labor or community organizing environments is a plus
