Monthly Salary: $9,761 - $12,718

About the Role

The Department of Finance and Administration is seeking an experienced Executive IT Director to support the Department of Corrections. This strategic leadership position is based in downtown Nashville and involves providing vision and leadership for all technology initiatives within the Tennessee Department of Corrections. The role includes working with senior management to identify technology needs and developing a strategic IT plan, leading the IT team to deliver solutions aligned with the agency’s goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the IT workforce supporting TDOC, aligning efforts with the agency’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Supervise IT staff, including hiring, disciplinary actions, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with agency leadership to identify and develop IT solutions meeting business needs.
  • Coordinate with project management offices to ensure project alignment and successful implementation.
  • Develop and utilize tools to track data-driven results, KPIs, and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish strategies, objectives, and service level agreements to improve organizational performance.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems from an accredited institution, with at least six years of professional IT experience, including four years in managerial roles.

Additional Information

The position is classified as Executive Service, full-time, and involves responsibilities typical of senior IT leadership within government administration.
