The Radiology Partners IT Team is seeking a driven, visionary and strategic IT Imaging Services (IIS) Optimization Director to lead the transformation and continuous improvement of our IT systems, processes, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate would be responsible for driving efficiency, enhancing system performance, and ensuring scalability across the Radiology Partners’ technology ecosystem as well as identifying areas for optimization and implementing best practices to ensure that our IT operations support business growth, and reducing costs. The Director of IT Optimization will collaborate with clinical, administrative, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of the Clinical Applications and associated IT systems. This role will work remotely and must have the skills to identify, communicate, and oversee the resolution of IT Imaging System issues to maximize the efficiency and benefit of the Radiology Partners IT team. This role requires a highly motivated team member dedicated to delivering value and exceptional personalized customer experiences.

Candidate must be located in Idaho, Wyoming or Montana - preferrably close to Idaho Falls, ID.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team focused on system optimization, performance tuning, and continuous improvement.
  • Create and execute IT and clinical application optimization strategies aligned with business goals, ensuring performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Drive modernization initiatives across infrastructure, software, and operations, incorporating automation and digital transformation to reduce manual efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership and stakeholders to align on strategic goals and deliver measurable improvements in IT services.
  • Oversee evaluation, redesign, and streamlining of IT workflows, processes, and contracts to enhance value and operational efficiency.
  • Implement and manage performance monitoring tools to track, report, and improve IT system reliability and responsiveness.
  • Provide expert support across Imaging IT systems including PACS, VNAs, VR, Advanced Visualization, AI platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, including VPN configurations and system interactions across server and desktop environments.
  • Ensure effective communication and resolution tracking through ServiceNow, and manage escalations and change control processes.
  • Build a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration across IT and clinical teams to drive service excellence and employee engagement.
  • Stay ahead of technology trends and implement emerging solutions that improve IT agility, service delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management and career development support to team members, including availability for evening or overnight needs.

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Candidate must be located in Idaho, Wyoming or Montana - preferrably close to Idaho Falls, ID.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
  • Experience in healthcare IT required, preferrably in Radiology
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Six Sigma, PMP, or Lean Management are desirable.
  • Strong customer focus with a proven ability to understand customer and stakeholder insights and develop strategies and IT solutions to meet these customer needs.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills to identify and resolve issues effectively.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience, including mentoring and staff development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience presenting to senior leadership and aligning with enterprise strategies. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; capable of working independently or within diverse teams.
  • Skilled in fostering collaboration and open communication to drive team and organizational success.
  • Client-facing experience with a proactive approach to customer success and tailored solution delivery.
  • Up to 25% travel
  • Occasional on-call to support the practices

COMPENSATION

The salary range for this position is $115K-$135K. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to this range, Radiology Partners offers competitive total rewards packages, which include health & wellness coverage options, 401k benefits, and a broad range of other benefits such as family planning and telehealth (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
