Kelco Industries is seeking an IT Desktop Support specialist to provide day-to-day technical support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain computer hardware and software across the company. You will help with equipment setup for new hires and ongoing maintenance, while following security practices.

The role emphasizes reliability, customer service, and effective communication with employees to resolve IT problems promptly, manage tickets efficiently, and support IT projects as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or technical IT training preferred.
• Working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office/365, hardware, peripherals, and basic networking concepts.
• Experience with an IT ticketing system is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and escalate when needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral support and basic network connectivity troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, maintain, and replace computers, software, and IT equipment.
• Respond to and close IT support tickets in a timely, professional manner; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Support Windows OS, Office 365, ERP, user accounts, access, and general IT needs.
• Set up computers and accounts for new employees and assist with changes and departures.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure reliability, security, and performance of IT systems.
• Maintain records of IT equipment, assignments, repairs, and assets.
• Provide courteous, secure IT assistance following company policies.
