Job summary

Williams IT is seeking an IT Consultant to provide technical leadership for a team of analysts, delivering software solutions and maintaining existing applications. The role emphasizes mentoring, problem solving, and strong collaboration with business partners and senior management.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED with 8+ years in IT, and a preferred Bachelor's in Computer Science or MIS with 10+ years of experience.

  • Collaborates with business partners and senior management to develop integrated solutions.

As IT Consultant, you will provide technical leadership to a team of analysts to deliver software solutions and maintain existing applications in order to optimize organizational functioning. A focus on mentoring others, the ability to solve sophisticated problems, superb interpersonal skills and technical acuity are keys to success!

Responsibilities/Expectations
  • Utilizes expertise, analyzes and develops long-term solutions to IT needs through developing new or modifying existing applications
  • Reviews systems requirements and business processes; mentors others on codes, tests, debugs and implements software applications
  • Executes projects using project management concepts, requirements gathering and documentation, software development lifecycle and testing
  • Collaborates effectively with business partners, project team, and senior management to develop solutions that facilitate the integration of business processes
  • Recommends solutions based on an understanding of business requirements
  • Provides technical leadership and mentorship within a broader team
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience
  • Required: High school diploma/GED and a minimum of eight (8) years' IT experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field and a minimum of ten (10) years' IT experience
Other Requirements

Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority Needs basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
