Job summary

Rently is seeking a hands-on IT and Business Systems Manager to lead day-to-day technology for our team at Rently and oversee core business platforms. You will resolve deskside issues and work with departments to determine if changes are worthwhile.

You will direct Salesforce and NetSuite through their admins, manage onboarding/offboarding, and drive automation and governance. This role reports to the Senior Director of Operations in a dynamic, US-based environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years managing IT or end-user support, including time as a manager or team lead.
• Strong, active technical skills with direct, non-delegated experience resolving deskside support and endpoint issues.
• Experience owning the SaaS stack at a cloud-first company that runs without a traditional data center.
• Proven experience administering Google Workspace and identity/SSO solutions (JumpCloud, Okta, or similar).
• Ability to analyze request ROI and defend trade-off decisions with data-driven reasoning.
• Clear written and verbal communication bridging technical constraints and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize queues and ensure clean data flow between CRM and ERP.
• Vendor relationships, license audits, and renewals; enforce AI governance.
• Support SOC 2 and ISO 27001 / 27701 compliance efforts.

Description

We are looking for a hands‑on IT and Business Systems Manager to lead day-to-day technology for our team at Rently and to oversee our core business platforms. This is a broad role for someone who is equally comfortable resolving a deskside issue and sitting with different departments to decide whether a system change is worth making.

You will manage IT operations for U.S Rently employees and direct the administration of Salesforce and NetSuite through the specialists who own those platforms. You do not need to be a Salesforce or NetSuite expert; you need strong IT-management instincts, sound business judgment, and the curiosity to learn why a process works before you change it. The role reports to the Senior Director of Operations, whose team also oversees Legal, Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, and Billing Operations so the technology decisions you make are business decisions. We use AI extensively, including an agent that already resolves most first‑tier support requests, and you will be the escalation point who extends that automation.

Requirements

IT and End-User Operations

Own the technology experience for our Rently staff and keep it running smoothly.

• Deliver hands‑on deskside support and manage onboarding, offboarding, access, and licensing for approximately Rently US employees, collaborating with our IT counterparts in India and China who administer their own regions.
• Own the Halo ITSM ticket queue, monitoring trends, setting priorities, and driving issues to resolution.
• Serve as the escalation point above our AI‑assisted first‑tier support, and continuously improve the runbooks and automation behind it.
• Administer the core stack, including Google Workspace, JumpCloud single sign‑on, SentinelOne, and Mac and Windows endpoints.
• Manage office and conference‑room technology.

Business Systems and Process

Direct our Salesforce and NetSuite platforms through their administrators, and help the business decide what to build.

• Manage the Salesforce and NetSuite environments through their subject‑matter experts.
• Own the intake process for system requests. Evaluate each request on business impact and the problem it solves, and be willing to recommend against changes that do not earn their cost.
• Determine the right tool for each need, Salesforce, NetSuite, or a purpose‑built internal application, and present a clear recommendation.
• Help the administrators prioritize their queues and keep data flowing cleanly between the CRM and the ERP.

Vendor, Licensing and AI Governance

Manage the commercial and compliance side of our systems.

• Own vendor relationships, contract reviews, and renewals; audit usage and right‑size licenses and spend before each renewal.
• Enforce the company's AI governance policy, maintaining the set of approved tools and the technical controls that keep unapproved tools out, and help shape that policy with the Director of Operations.
• Support the company's SOC 2 and ISO 27001 / ISO 27701 compliance efforts.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical, hands‑on use of AI in your work, diagnosing, automating, or building.
• Comfort building lightweight internal applications or dashboards with AI tools, or clear eagerness to learn.
• Experience partnering with Finance, Sales, or Customer Support on a CRM, ERP, or billing process change.
• Ability to evaluate platform requests by clearly separating surface‑level configurations from core system architecture decisions.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and NetSuite as a manager, and awareness of iPaaS/middleware tools such as Celigo.
• Exposure to SOC 2 or ISO 27001, or an SSO or migration project you drove end to end.

For applicants located in California, the salary range for this full‑time role is expected to be $100,000-$110,000 per year. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Rently reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications, and that the expected salary range may be different for candidates located outside of California.
