Job summary

Weltman, Weinberg & Reis in Independence Township, OH, seeks a Business Systems Analyst - IT to review, analyze, and improve our business systems by translating user needs into practical system changes. You will work with end-users, developers, and managers, create and maintain reports, test changes, and document requirements.

A Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years of experience in SQL and related tools are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 2–3 years’ relevant experience.
• Knowledge of tSQL and/or pSQL.
• Ability to communicate with users, developers and managers to gain a common understanding of issues and solutions.
• Familiarity with programming languages and concepts.
• Creative and logical thinking to solve technical and business issues.
• Desire to learn vendor applications and create solutions within their toolsets.

Responsibilities

• Consults with clients and system users to identify and document business needs and objectives, current procedures, problems and requirements.
• Provides technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures.
• Analyzes business processes and user requirements to document project scope.
• Creates and maintains moderately complex reports and programs.
• Tests business and functional processes during development and QA.
• Identifies problems and resolutions in programs, applications and systems.
• Tracks and documents changes to specifications and configurations.
• Writes user documentation and procedures.
• Monitors post-implementation problems and revision requests.
