Job description

Job Title: IT Business Process Consultant

Location: 2 Broadway, NYC (Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Duration: 12+ months

Type: Contract, 37.5 hours/week

Client: Metropolitan Transportation Authority

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with leadership to develop, monitor, and implement transformational initiatives.
2. Identify IT process improvements and resolve operational bottlenecks.
3. Improve operational efficiency through process reviews, SOP updates, and risk assessments.
4. Prepare business cases, findings, and recommendations for transformation initiatives.
5. Manage departmental priorities, develop work plans, and escalate issues as needed.
6. Participate in large IT project programs and implement scorecards for productivity, quality, and risk.
7. Apply change management strategies effectively.

Minimum Requirements:

• MBA preferred; minimum 10 years of business experience.
• LEAN certification / Six Sigma training or equivalent.
• Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in project management, work plan development, and translating business needs into technical requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
• Experience with government agencies is a plus.
