Job summary

ICF is seeking an IT Delivery Business Analyst to join our Utility Program and Services Group. The role emphasizes energy efficiency tracking, system data analysis, and business intelligence using advanced Excel models to drive reporting and decision making.

The candidate will gather requirements, design solutions, and translate complex calculations into actionable system specs. Strong communication with stakeholders and experience in SDLC are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; (or substitute one year of related experience per year of education).
• 3+ years of experience in IT project delivery or related role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, macros, advanced data analysis, modeling).
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience in creating standard documentation (requirements/design specs, test scripts, system docs).
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle with a focus on energy efficiency tracking and reporting tools.
• Engage stakeholders to define system requirements and contribute to design approaches.
• Analyze client processes and identify technology-driven improvement opportunities.
• Develop documentation: requirements, design docs, use cases, test plans, scripts.
• Read and interpret complex calculations, translate into dynamic Excel models, and translate to system configuration requirements.
• Provide training and support for IT system users and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate in teams to deliver high-quality client-focused solutions.
• Present task updates in status meetings and maintain clear communication with project teams.

The IT Delivery Business Analyst will play a critical role in the software development lifecycle, system data analysis, and business intelligence for energy efficiency and utility projects.

What you will be doing:

• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system design, testing, and tool delivery, with a focus on energy efficiency tracking and reporting tools.
• Engage stakeholders to define system requirements and contribute to optimal design approaches.
• Analyze client processes and identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements.
• Develop comprehensive documentation, including requirements specifications, design documents, use cases, test plans, and scripts.
• Read and interpret complex calculations, translate them into dynamic Excel models, and transfer these models into requirements for system configuration.
• Provide training and support for IT system users, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal system functionality.
• Collaborate effectively in team environments, contributing to client-focused solutions with high-quality deliverables.
• Present updates on tasks during status meetings and maintain clear communication with project teams.

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. (or applicants can substitute one year of related experience for one year of education)3+ years of experience in IT project delivery or a related role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including pivot tables, macros, advanced data analysis functions, and building models).
• 2+ years of demonstrated experience in creating standard documentation such as requirements and design specifications, test scripts, and system documentation.
• Must be able to pass a background check, and drug screening.

• Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong customer service and team collaboration skills, with an ability to communicate effectively across diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of SNUGGPro is a plus.

Pay Range

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:$73,403.00 - $124,784.00
