Job summary

S2 IT Group LLC is seeking a Senior Workday Consultant to drive the full implementation lifecycle in Alpharetta, GA. The role involves requirements gathering, design, development, validation of interfaces, and reporting using Workday tools.

You will collaborate with HR, IT, QA, and vendor teams, facilitate workshops, and lead testing cycles (CRP, FAT, UAT) while ensuring security and data integrity across Core HCM, Payroll, and Recruiting modules.

Qualifications

• MBA or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience delivering Workday implementations including integration with external systems.
• Willingness to travel within the United States on client sites.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements (functional and non-functional) via workshops, site visits, data analysis, and workflow analysis.
• Create/use cases, user stories, functional specs, diagrams, and technical documentation for HR/business stakeholders.
• Participate in technical meetings between QA, DevOps and vendor teams.
• Lead end-to-end Workday implementation activities from discovery to design, development and interfaces.
• Create custom reports, calculated fields and objects using Report Writer and data sources.
• Maintain security settings and roles across business processes and data access.
• Plan and execute data loads, testing (CRP, FAT, UAT), and data migration validation.
• Log and close SRs; perform SIT with business users.

Job Duties

Gather requirements (functional and non‑functional) by using various techniques such as workshop facilitation, site visits, data analysis, task and workflow analysis. Create, analyze use cases, user stories, functional specifications, diagrams, technical documentation to fulfill requirements given by HR and business stakeholders. Participate in technical meetings between various departments such as QA, DevOps and vendor project related teams. Work through the full cycle of Workday implementation from the discovery phase to project planning, design, development and implementation of interfaces (Recruitment, Core HCM, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Talent & Performance). Create custom reports, calculated fields and custom objects for desired reports using the appropriate data source and business objects with Report Writer. Maintain, edit business processes, domain settings, role‑ and user‑based security as needed. Test data migrated from legacy systems such as Oracle EBS, My Micros, Infor, Ultipro and other third‑party systems. Plan, coordinate and execute data load, system and user acceptance testing. Execute CRP’s, FAT and UAT with business users. Log, view, access, follow up and close service requests (SRs) online. Conduct end‑to‑end system integration testing (SIT). Identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for knowledge transfer and training. Tools and utilities: Workday – Core Connector, EIB, Report Writer, JIRA, Soap UI, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, XML, JSON, MuleSoft, SOA, Business Events Engine, Microsoft Visio, Tableau, Azure and Microsoft Office Suite.
