Highmark Health is offering a Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship in Boise, Idaho. The program provides hands-on experience supporting IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance activities across Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

Interns work with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, Risk Management, and business professionals to evaluate controls and protect sensitive information.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program, part-time or full-time.
• Pursuing related degree fields such as Accounting, Finance, IT, CS, Cybersecurity or Information Systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance activities.
• Support IT assurance and advisory engagements.
• Document audit results and develop recommendations for process improvements.
• Participate in planning and execution of projects within the assigned area.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to assess technology and security risks.
• Gain exposure to HIPAA requirements and data privacy governance.
• Support day-to-day audit activities and research to inform actions.

Education
