Highmark Health is offering a Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship in Maine. The program provides hands-on exposure to information technology audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance across Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

As part of the Internal Audit team, interns will support IT assurance engagements, assess security controls, document results, and contribute to process improvements while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and privacy policies.

Qualificações

• Full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program.
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field.

Responsabilidades

• Support IT assurance and advisory engagements and day-to-day audit activities.
• Assess technology and security risks and document audit results.
• Develop recommendations for process improvements and action plans.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization on projects and audits.
• Participate in system implementations reviews and governance activities.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data privacy, and information security policies.
• Contribute to risk assessments and audit methodologies within regulated environments.
