Job summary

Highmark Health is offering the Summer 2027 Undergraduate IT Audit Internship. This program provides hands-on exposure to IT audit, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance across Highmark Health and its subsidiaries.

Interns will assist with evaluating technology and security controls, participate in IT assurance engagements, and gain experience in HIPAA compliance and data privacy within a regulated healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full- or part-time in a college/university baccalaureate program.
• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems or related field.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders while planning assignments.
• Under supervision, provide entry-level professional services related to IT audit and risk.
• Participate in projects to develop professional skills and expertise for the organization.
• Plan and implement unit projects and initiatives within area of expertise.
• Conduct research and reporting with recommendations or proposals for action.
• Perform related studies or enrichment programs as appropriate to the operating unit.
