Job summary

The University of Florida is seeking an Asset Specialist I-OPS-PC for the UF Surplus PC/AV Shop on Main Campus in Gainesville, FL. The role supports the disposition and sustainability of information technology assets, including testing, repairing, and updating inventory records.

Candidate will lift equipment up to 50 pounds, work in a warehouse setting, and maintain positive professional relations while following written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to lift/move equipment up to 50 pounds and work in extreme warehouse temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, clean, repair, configure, upgrade, and renovate various forms of technology received in UF Surplus.
• Make ready, photograph, enter and update Asset Management database for item specifications before placing them on public auction website (including Direct Sales).
• Separate items and sort through boxes to place items in proper locations; non-sustainable items are palletized and sent to E-Waste Recycler.
