Job summary

Wood River Federal, LLC is seeking a Journeyman Computer Operator (IT Asset Management Specialist) to manage the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets, ensuring accurate inventory in ELMS/DPAS and supporting license compliance.

The role involves asset tagging, database maintenance, software license tracking, and periodic audits, under supervision of IT leadership. Candidates typically have 3–5 years in IT/ITAM and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in IT support or operations; at least 2 years in IT Asset Management, inventory control, or IT logistics.
• Experience with barcode scanners and inventory tools.
• Must be able to acquire and maintain a DoW Security Clearance.
• Proficiency with enterprise ITAM/ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Flexera, or Ivanti.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and tag new IT hardware assets (desktops, laptops, servers, network devices).
• Create and maintain asset records in the ITAM database with serial numbers, models, locations, and assigned users.
• Maintain and audit IT asset databases (ELMS/DPAS) and perform physical inventories across offices and data centers.
• Assist with software license tracking, entitlements, and compliance audits.
